Description
Sikorsky is hiring a Design Engineer in Stratford, Connecticut, to develop major aircraft components, functional systems, advanced prototypes, and production products. The role covers preliminary design, 3D modeling, assemblies, structures, detailed parts, manufacturability, cost and schedule trade-offs, design review, and support for manufacturing and production issues. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, at least 9 years of aerospace or mechanical engineering design experience, and 5+ years of Catia V5/V6(3DX) experience, with additional expertise in structural design, material science, load analysis, GD&T, and composite airframe design.
