Description
The Design Lead oversees the design team for large-scale projects, serving as the primary design engineer of record and project lead. Responsibilities include project reviews, plan-set signing and sealing, schematic design, task planning, QA/QC, technical support, client and team coordination, complex RFI and CA issue resolution, program development, proposals, mentoring, and meeting deadlines. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering, 5–10 years of engineering experience with project management experience, structural design and construction-document experience, and a registered Professional Engineer license in the applicable state. A Master's degree and experience with structural design software are preferred; Gessner Engineering does not sponsor employment visas.
