Description
The Design Manager will lead and develop a residential design team, oversee projects from sales handoff through construction documentation and production handoff, protect the client experience, align design with budget and estimating, and ensure smooth transitions to construction. The role also monitors department performance, supports company planning, and may assist with spec-home, model-home, and staging projects. The employer seeks an experienced residential designer with strong leadership, accountability, process-improvement, and client-communication skills; experience with high-end residential remodeling, custom homes, interior design, architecture, or residential design-build is preferred, along with familiarity with Chief Architect or similar residential design software, construction-management platforms, and residential construction.
