Description
The Design Release Engineer will own the design, release, validation, procurement, manufacturing, and launch of vehicle interior components and systems, including hard trim, soft trim, IP, and door trim. The role coordinates with suppliers, testing, manufacturing, and other vehicle subsystems; establishes cost, weight, performance, and quality targets; manages 3D CAD and technical drawings; supports root-cause analysis; leads design reviews; and contributes to cost reduction and prototype or production builds. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, five years of relevant experience, five years of interior-trim DRE experience, and hands-on CATIA V5/V6 design experience.
