Careem is hiring a Design System Lead to own the evolution of its design system for a multi-vertical super app, including tokens, components, patterns, documentation, accessibility, and cross-platform standards. The role will make the system AI-native by integrating agentic workflows, Code Connect mappings, MCP integrations, structured metadata, AI-assisted audits, and Figma plugins, while driving adoption, enablement, and collaboration with engineering and product stakeholders. Candidates need at least five years of product design experience, including three years in design systems at scale, along with advanced knowledge of token architecture, component APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, and LLM or agentic tool workflows.
