Quora is hiring a Detection & Corporate Security Engineer to support its Quora and Poe products. The role is hybrid and can be performed remotely from Canada or the United States, with work coordination during Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time. Responsibilities include building and maintaining SIEM infrastructure, writing detections and alerts, deploying canary tokens, investigating security incidents, enforcing endpoint and access controls, implementing Zero-Trust VPN infrastructure, and advising non-technical teams. The position requires at least five years of security engineering or detection engineering experience, hands-on SIEM and detection experience, endpoint security experience, strong Python engineering skills, and incident investigation experience.
