Varonis is hiring a 100% remote Detection Engineer to research emerging threats, investigate detection gaps and real-world incidents, and develop scalable detection logic and security analytics. The role covers the full detection lifecycle, including threat analysis, model design, validation, tuning, performance monitoring, and optimization, while collaborating with Forensics, Product Management, Engineering, and MDR teams. Candidates need at least four years of experience in detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, security research, DFIR, MDR, or a related discipline, along with experience analyzing large-scale datasets using Python, SQL, Spark, or PySpark.
