Description
AES is hiring an Engineer, Development – WEST to design and engineer utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects in early-stage development across the West region. The role covers preliminary plant design, site layouts, equipment selection, production and dispatch modeling, site evaluations, technical diligence, RFP and permit support, and coordination with internal and third-party engineering teams. The position may be based at an AES US Renewables & Power office or remotely, includes up to 10% travel, and requires an engineering degree or equivalent technical field, at least three years of energy system design or consulting experience, and proficiency with renewable energy modeling and CAD tools. The expected starting salary is $94,000 to $112,625 per year, with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off benefits.
