Description
Honeywell is hiring a Development Engineer for its Elster Water Metering team in Luton to support the ongoing NPI process for volumetric, solid-state electronic, Woltmann-type bulk, single-jet, and multi-jet water meters. Reporting to the test manager, the role translates concepts into prototypes, designs and executes ad hoc tests and test equipment, creates specifications for new capital equipment, improves development and testing processes, and works with internal and third-party partners. The position requires at least five years of post-education experience in electro-mechanical R&D, mechanical or fluid-metering knowledge, machine-shop and data-analysis skills, project management experience, and familiarity with HSE requirements; CAD, fluid-metering principles, Six Sigma, and machine maintenance are beneficial. Hybrid working is offered where the task dictates the location.
