LanceSoft is hiring a Senior Development Contract Engineer for a 12-month, 100% onsite contract paying $61.53–$92.30 per hour. The role supports product engineering by developing and improving distributed microservices and event-based architectures, designing and implementing services, writing Kafka producers and consumers, maintaining test coverage, conducting code and design reviews, debugging, and providing rotating on-call support. Required qualifications include 5+ years of backend software development experience, strong Kotlin proficiency, Spring Boot or Micronaut experience, Kafka, observability, testing, container technologies, and cross-functional collaboration. Preferred qualifications include Git, Agile, cloud environments, NoSQL, architectural patterns, automated testing, and AI-assisted coding tools.
