WAGNER is hiring a Development Engineer / Design Engineer / Product Designer in mechanical engineering to develop, design, size, and optimize pressure vessels, tanks, customer-specific structures, and plant components. The role covers 3D CAD and PDM modeling, strength calculations, manufacturing drawings, welding and material considerations, certifications, customer acceptance tests, and project execution from concept through product launch. Candidates need a mechanical engineering degree or technical apprenticeship, CAD/PDM and ERP knowledge, relevant standards expertise, and strong German and English skills. The position offers an annual gross salary of €42,000 to €50,000 and is based in Neunkirchen, Siegerl, or North Rhine-Westphalia.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Completed degree in mechanical engineering or a technical apprenticeship in product design with further training as a technician
Required Previous Experiences: Professional experience in constructing vessels, apparatus, or systems and designing steel structures and plant components
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with PTC Creo, ECTR, and ERP systems such as SAP or SAP S/4HANA
Knowledge of vessel and apparatus construction standards, including AD 2000, EN 13445, ASME, DIN, ISO, ATEX, and MRL/MV
Understanding of welding technology, materials science, and manufacturing processes
Good German and English skills, written and spoken
Confident use of Microsoft 365 applications
