Description
The Development Engineer—Digital Machining will develop and implement high-performance chip-removal manufacturing processes for aerospace, medical, and semiconductor components. The role includes CAM programming, process simulation, machine-tool operation, data analysis, algorithm development, industrial and research projects, client presentations, and customer workshops. It requires a mechanical engineering or related degree, analytical and communication skills, German and English proficiency, and preferably initial NC programming and machine-tool experience. The position is based at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Aachen, offers 39 weekly hours, and may be filled part-time.
