Comcast is hiring a mid-level Development Engineer specializing in Python to design, develop, maintain, test, document, and deploy scalable software applications. The role includes database and data-model work, REST API development, code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, technical leadership on routine projects, Scrum participation, user training, and support for quality assurance through feature handoffs and bug fixes. Required experience includes Python 3, object-oriented programming, MySQL or MongoDB, Redis, Celery, concurrency, Git, data structures and algorithms, XML/JSON/YAML, OpenAPI, REST APIs, automated testing, Jira, and Agile/Scrum; networking, Netconf, CLI, SNMP, YANG, and Jinja are preferred.
