Description
Rocket Lab is hiring a Development Engineer for its Ion Propulsion team in New Zealand. The role involves hands-on testing of ion propulsion systems and components, developing test equipment, procedures, analysis methods, data-processing and test-automation code, resolving technical and quality issues, producing technical documentation, collaborating cross-functionally, and transitioning acceptance testing to production. Applicants need an engineering or physics degree, at least one year of relevant industry experience, and experience building or testing mechanical or electromechanical systems; experience with electric propulsion, vacuum systems, high voltage, particle beams, rocket engines, fluid components, spacecraft propulsion, Python, instrumentation, sensors, or data acquisition is desirable.
