The role develops optical systems and subsystems for future Laser Communication Terminals, supports opto-mechanical design, integration, alignment, testing, component specification, and performance evaluation, and assesses subsystems and supplier designs. Candidates need a technical degree and several years of professional experience in development, testing, systems engineering, or related fields, with preferred expertise in optical design, Zemax, optical testing, and manufacturing. The position offers a permanent contract, above-tariff wages, performance bonuses, and industry allowances.
