Description
The Swedish Coast Guard is hiring a temporary Development Engineer for its Technology and Equipment Unit in Karlskrona. The role leads and participates in projects developing and procuring technical equipment, especially weapons technology and technical systems, covering requirements, procurement, delivery, verification, and follow-up. The position requires a relevant engineering or technology qualification, technical development or equipment procurement experience, and Swedish and English communication skills; project management, weapons systems, and marine engineering experience are advantageous. It is a temporary replacement for up to one year, may require service aboard vessels and abroad, and requires Swedish citizenship, a drug test, and security vetting.
