Rheinmetall is hiring a Functional Safety Systems Engineer for its active protection division in Lohmar. The role covers system-of-interest analysis, requirements definition, safety-requirement derivation and verification, safety-concept development, coordination with systems safety and other development areas, and support for FMEA/FMEDA/FTA analyses. The position requires a technical or science degree, several years of complex-systems experience, functional-safety experience under IEC 61508, and strong German and English skills; SysML/UML, DOORS, and Enterprise Architect knowledge is desirable.
