Description
Sealaska Heritage Institute is hiring a full-time Development Officer to manage and implement a comprehensive philanthropy program, including major gifts, donor prospecting, planned-gift campaigns, fundraising goals, and coordination with contractors, volunteers, board members, and stakeholders. The role leads the Trustee Philanthropy Committee, supports new programs and initiatives, requires frequent travel within Alaska and the lower 48 states, and is performed at the institute’s offices. It requires a bachelor’s degree, experience with major donors and charitable-giving practices, and knowledge of Southeast Alaska Native culture and languages.
