Description

ScienceLogic is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Test to build, manage, and optimize test infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role covers VMware and AWS infrastructure, Terraform and automation, Jenkins CI/CD integration, test execution, environment hardening, and cost optimization. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of relevant DevOps, cloud, testing, or QA experience, and strong expertise in VMware, AWS, Terraform, networking, and test-environment management.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of experience in DevOps infrastructure, cloud management, software testing, or QA engineering
Strong experience with VMware virtualization and VM lifecycle management
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2
In-depth knowledge of Terraform, including module design, state management, and best practices
Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
Experience provisioning and managing test environments at scale
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with additional Infrastructure as Code tools, such as CloudFormation
Scripting experience with Python or Bash
Experience in release engineering or release hardening processes
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Linux
