Description
Lockheed Martin is hiring a Senior Dewar Manufacturing Process Engineer for its Santa Barbara Focal Plane team. The role sustains and develops manufacturing processes and equipment for the Integrated Dewar Cooler Assembly line, including precision alignment, inspection, wire bonding, welding, soldering, vacuum baking, adhesive formulation, and dispensing. Responsibilities also include designing assembly sequences, tooling, and inspection requirements for new products; resolving defects and rework; characterizing process capabilities; leading root-cause corrective actions; evaluating product life cycles; participating in production readiness reviews; and using data analytics to improve first-pass yield. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years with a master’s degree, mechanical design and machining experience, secret-clearance eligibility, and U.S. citizenship. The full-time salary range is $110,300 to $204,900, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, and other benefits.
