Description
Apple is hiring a PCBA Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer to bridge product design and high-volume manufacturing for challenging consumer PCBA and flexible designs. The role collaborates with product design, electrical engineering, manufacturing partners, and suppliers to optimize assembly processes, materials, panel arrays, reliability, cost, quality, and environmental impact. Responsibilities include DFM reviews, process and tooling development, vendor capability assessment, design-of-experiments validation, manufacturing readiness checklists, and cross-functional technical communication. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience, at least three years of relevant PCBA or electronic assembly experience, and up to 25% international travel.
