Thiess is hiring a permanent full-time Diesel Fitter for its Caval Ridge Mine in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. The role maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and services heavy earthmoving and mobile plant equipment, performs breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance, follows safety procedures, and completes maintenance documentation. Applicants need a Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent, post-trade mining or heavy earthmoving experience, breakdown-repair and servicing experience, a current driver's licence, and strong troubleshooting and safety skills. The position follows a 7/7 day and night shift roster, provides bus transport from Mackay and full camp facilities, and includes training, discounts, and health insurance.
