Description
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of construction vehicles, including supers, belly-dumps, mixers, and tractors, while maximizing unit uptime and maintaining safety standards. The role involves diagnosing diesel engines and vehicle electronics, performing complex repairs, completing maintenance documentation, conducting safety checks, and providing emergency roadside service. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate’s degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or a related program or equivalent education and experience, at least four years of diesel mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license, DOT and EPA certifications, and the ability to work flexible hours.
