Description
The Diesel Mechanic provides basic mechanical, repair, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting services for trucks and trailers across all makes and models. The role covers engine, electrical, drive train, tire, steering, suspension, refrigeration, fluid and filter service, DOT compliance, shop inventory, paperwork, and training support. It reports to the Shop Supervisor, may cover shop operations during the supervisor’s absence, and requires a valid Iowa driver’s license, truck-driving ability, mechanical and problem-solving skills, technical-diagram reading, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
