Description
The Dietary Cook prepares and serves meals for residents in a long-term-care or medical facility, following planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic and special diet orders, portion-control procedures, food-safety and infection-control policies, and applicable regulations. The role also processes diet changes, maintains food and supply inventories, cleans and maintains kitchen areas and equipment, completes required documentation, supports meal service and emergency procedures, and communicates with dietary, medical, nursing, residents, families, and other staff.
