Lightmatter is hiring a Digital Architect to define and specify the architecture of digital circuits for high-speed mixed-signal and photonic communication chips. The role covers digital architecture from concept through high-volume production, system-level integration of AMS and photonic circuits, SerDes, ADC/DAC, modulators, detectors, hardware validation, and collaboration with RTL and design verification teams. Candidates need at least three years of experience and a master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, with expertise in high-speed digital design and a strong preference for photonic circuit experience. The role offers a base salary of $146,000–$222,000 USD, equity, health, retirement, and other benefits, and follows a flexible hybrid workplace model.
