The Facility Operation Director (FOD) is a senior-level position reporting to the Director of Waste and Facility Operations at the N3B CH-TRU project in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The role manages safe, secure, and compliant operations at the TA-54, Area G nuclear facility, oversees the TA-54 Operations Center and Shift Operations Managers, and supports waste characterization, remediation, retrievals, and repackaging. Responsibilities include operational performance reviews, risk mitigation, corrective actions, interdepartmental coordination, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. The position requires a bachelor's degree, 14 years of related experience, at least 6 years of management responsibility, and DOE Order 426.2 requires a bachelor's degree and 4 years of nuclear experience; an L-level Department of Energy security clearance is required.
