Description
The Direct Care employee oversees the 24-hour operation of a family shelter, maintaining a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents. The role includes responding to emergencies, documenting incidents and daily activities, enforcing shelter policies, assisting with cleaning and household chores, supporting residents, participating in case reviews, and communicating with visitors, staff, volunteers, and service providers. Available shifts are Friday through Sunday, with two overlapping schedules, and the position requires a high school degree or equivalent, 3–4 years of social-services or related experience, CPR certification, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
