Description
The Direct Care Worker provides direct care and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities living independently in the organization’s residential alternative houses. Responsibilities include supporting daily living skills, promoting independence, implementing habilitation and protective oversight plans, ensuring health and safety, accompanying residents to medical appointments, maintaining a clean residence, conducting fire drills, documenting care, assisting with new staff orientation, and safely operating an agency vehicle. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience working with OPWDD individuals or in human services, and SCIP, AMAP, First Aid, and CPR training within three months of hire.
