Description
The Department of Developmental Services is hiring Direct Care Worker II staff for full-time and part-time shifts in the Behavioral Stabilization Units in Baldwinville, Massachusetts. The role provides direct support and oversight to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with personal care and nutrition, advocacy, medication administration, behavioral support, safety monitoring, activities, transportation, and incident documentation. Candidates must have at least one year of direct support experience or an equivalent combination of education and substitutions, complete the Proactive Approaches to Behavioral Challenges training, obtain MAP certification, and hold CPR and First Aid certification. The position requires a Class D driver’s license, flexible scheduling, mandatory overtime, and the ability to work weekends and report to work during emergencies.
