Description
The Direct Care Worker provides one-on-one, non-medical support to a private-pay client in a home or community setting. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, ambulation, meals, light housekeeping, companionship, appointment accompaniment, condition monitoring, safety, and documentation. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, independent work ability, communication skills, reliable transportation when needed, and the physical ability to lift, transfer, and perform extended standing and walking tasks. Previous caregiving experience is preferred, along with CPR/First Aid or PCA, HHA, or CNA certification.
