Description
ACLD is hiring a Direct Support Professional for a residential setting to support adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role helps supported individuals achieve personal goals, provides structure and emotional support, assists with behavioral issues and personal hygiene, completes documentation, and transports participants to medical appointments and recreational activities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid New York State driver’s license, English communication ability, AMAP and SCIP certifications, and the ability to perform physical assistance tasks; prior direct-care experience is preferred but training is provided. The schedule is Thursday through Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., for 40 hours.
