Description
The Direct Support Professional supports people served in group home and community settings by implementing treatment plans, providing life-skills and daily living training, administering medications, preparing meals, documenting care, supporting community activities, and responding to crises. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, age 21 or older, TABE test success, communication and writing skills, medication-administration capability, background-check clearance, and the ability to work physically and in indoor and outdoor environments.
