Description
The Arc is hiring an entry-level, part-time direct support professional to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings. The role provides individualized support with self-care, mobility, toileting, eating, behavioral plans, medication administration, household tasks, meal preparation, transportation, recreational activities, community integration, advocacy, documentation, safety drills, and maintaining a clean and safe home. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a current Alabama driver's license, communication and crisis-management abilities, and the capacity to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Compensation is $13.00 per hour, with weekend shifts available.
