Description
The Direct Support Professional provides day-to-day care and therapeutic support to clients in a residential treatment setting, including supervision of personal hygiene, social guidance, leisure activities, meals, outings, and medical or social appointments. The role also develops and supervises activity sessions, supports clients experiencing significant stress, documents resident interactions, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and participates in staff meetings and training. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a driver’s license is preferred but not required in all programs.
