Description
The Direct Support Professional provides in-home and community support to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults, assisting with personal care, meals, hygiene, medication reminders, exercise, games, transportation, and social activities. The role also maintains progress notes, communicates with the team, participates in training and meetings, and coaches others in the company’s C.A.R.E. values. The mixed schedule includes Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday mornings and afternoons, and Sunday evenings, with Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday off. A high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, relevant experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, a driver’s license, California automobile insurance, and English proficiency are required; bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.
