Description
The Direct Support Professional provides care, training, and daily assistance to residents in an Adult Foster Care group home. Responsibilities include supporting self-care, activities of daily living, leisure and community activities, domestic chores, transportation, medication administration, emergency response, and individualized resident training. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to relate to persons with disabilities, awareness of developmental needs, physical ability to perform the work, and a valid Michigan driver’s license with a good driving history. The position also requires independent mobility, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and coverage under agency insurance when operating an agency vehicle.
