The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in East Lyme, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community integration, behavior management, medication administration, documentation, transportation, meal preparation, and life-skills mentoring. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication ability, and the ability to mentor participants are required; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, holidays, and paid vacation and sick leave, with a starting hourly rate of $20.20.
