Description
The Direct Support Professional provides person-centered, compassionate support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges in residential and community-based settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living and life skills, implementing individualized support plans, administering medications, responding to emergencies, transporting individuals, documenting care, and collaborating with residential managers, clinicians, and other team members. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, age 21 or older, a valid driver's license, background-check clearance, and CPR and First Aid certifications; flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and emergency coverage are required.
