Description
The Direct Support Professional I provides supervision, care, and daily living support to youth and families, develops and monitors individualized treatment plans, documents care, administers medications, supports transitions and community participation, and responds to escalated behavior using crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, AMAP training, CPR certification, and a valid New York State driver’s license, and involves variable evening and weekend scheduling with physical demands including lifting and transporting youth. Pay is $19.50 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.
