The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Niantic, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community integration, behavior management, medication administration, documentation, transportation, meal preparation, and life-skills mentoring. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred. The schedule includes Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday through Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with 24-hour coverage, and offers a starting hourly rate of $20.20 plus health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and other benefits.
