The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Waterford, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community integration, behavior management, medication administration, documentation, safety, transportation, and meal preparation. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication skills, and the ability to mentor participants; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a starting hourly rate of $20.20 and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.
