The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Ledyard, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community-integration, and behavior-management support; participates in individualized support planning; administers prescribed medications; completes documentation; ensures participant safety; provides transportation; and prepares meals. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication skills, and the ability to mentor participants; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
