The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Groton, Connecticut to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community integration, behavior management, medication administration, documentation, transportation, meal preparation, and life-skills mentoring. The schedule is Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication ability, and the ability to mentor participants are required; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred. Benefits include dental and health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, vacation, and sick leave, with a starting hourly rate of $20.20.
