The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Pomfret, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community integration, behavior management, medication administration, documentation, safety, transportation, and meal preparation support. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication skills, and the ability to mentor participants; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred. The schedule is Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a starting hourly rate of $20.20.
