The Arc Eastern Connecticut is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Dayville, Connecticut, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care, recreation, daily living, social, health, rights, community-integration, and behavior-management support; participates in individualized support plans; administers prescribed medications; completes documentation; provides first aid, CPR, and evacuation support; prepares meals; and provides transportation. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., and Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, basic computer aptitude, English communication ability, and the ability to mentor participants are required; prior experience with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
