Description

The Directional Drill Locator will work on a two-person horizontal directional drilling crew to safely and accurately install underground fiber conduit and larger-diameter pipe. Responsibilities include tracking the drill head, communicating depth and steering corrections, operating DCI/DigiTrak or Underground Magnetics locating systems, reviewing bore paths and utility markings, maintaining safe clearance from underground utilities, assisting with pilot boring and conduit installation, operating a mud vacuum, and transporting a heavy drill package with a Class A truck and trailer. The role requires prior HDD drill-locating experience, heavy-equipment towing experience, a valid Class A CDL with air-brake experience, and the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor fieldwork.
