Description

Oscar is hiring a Director of Accounting to lead accounting for recently acquired businesses and related platform operations, including close processes, reconciliations, journal entries, AR/AP and insurance AMS accounting, subledger activity, variance analytics, and accounting integrations for future M&A. The role reports to the Deputy Controller and is fully remote for candidates residing in Dallas, Texas, with potential future hybrid work at the associated hub office. The base salary is $162,454 to $213,220 per year, with medical, dental, vision, equity, vacation, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of relevant accounting experience
2+ years leading accounting close processes, reconciliations, journal entries, or financial reporting
2+ years with accounting systems, subledgers, AR/AP accounting, revenue or receivables accounting, financial operations integrations, or data/process design
2+ years preparing or reviewing flux and variance analysis
Preferred Qualifications: Similar accounting leadership experience in health insurance, Insurtech, SaaS, or platform businesses
M&A accounting, purchase accounting, acquired-company integration, or post-close finance operations integration
Insurance AMS, ERP, billing, receivables, payables, or subledger accounting process design
4+ years of experience with United States-based insurance companies or insurance-adjacent businesses
