Description

SoundCloud is hiring a Director of Accounting to lead its Berlin-based Accounting & Tax department and report to the VP Group Controller. The role owns IFRS group consolidation, German HGB statutory reporting, intercompany accounting, technical accounting, annual audits, and the local accounting team, while also leading the implementation of a new financial consolidation platform and coordinating with US finance, Treasury, Tax, and external partners. The position requires 8+ years of relevant experience, professional accounting credentials, IFRS consolidation expertise, German HGB knowledge, supervisory leadership, and fluency in English and German.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of relevant experience in top-tier audit firms or corporate group accounting environments
Hands-on IFRS multi-entity consolidation experience preparing or auditing consolidated statements and disclosures across foreign currencies
Understanding of German HGB statutory framework, local compliance, and tax audit procedures
Supervisory leadership and professional development of accounting personnel
Prior involvement in implementing financial consolidation platforms
Preferred Qualifications: Professional accounting credentials such as CPA, Steuerberater, Wirtschaftsprüfer, or ACCA
Advanced Excel and ERP, financial close, and procurement technology experience
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion tools
Background in technology, digital media, music, or subscription businesses, including royalty and intellectual property accounting
