Textron Systems is hiring a Director of Advanced Materials & Hypersonics to lead engineers and material scientists developing advanced composite materials, thermal protection systems, and high-temperature structures for ultra-high-temperature reentry and hypersonic applications. The role oversees material and process development, qualification, transition to production, DoD customer engagement, proposal development, and program execution, while leading a multidisciplinary team. Candidates need a relevant BS, extensive advanced materials experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an MS or Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
